Dutch cutting down on holidays
Dutch Nibud organisation (the National Institute for Family Finance Information) has issued a release with some findings of a research. 70 per cent of all Dutch households are presently saving money on a wide range of products. This percentage has never been so high before. Even within the higher income group (plus 3200 nett euro per month) some 60% are saving money. Holidays is the subject most mentioned but also eating out, luxurious items like computers and tv's, subscriptions on magazines and cars. 9% of the respondents have indicated they have gotten rid of their car.
