Travel Pressentation 2014

This year the 14th edition of the ‘Meet the Dutch travel media’ press workshop will again be organised in Amsterdam. Travel Pressentation – as the event is called – will take place on Thursday 6 November in the wonderful location of Heineken Experience in the centre of Amsterdam.

On this event, participating travel organisations such as national and regional tourist boards, hotel chains, online booking platforms, tourist attractions, airlines, railway and cruise companies, tour operators, travel guide book publishers and other relevant tourism companies can promote their destination, brand and product to the Dutch travel press. You will be sitting behind your own table and have face-to-face talks with journalists so you can discuss in detail all the novelties and news of your destination/product. Inform them about new sights, attractions, travel news, new packages, trends, connections, facts and figures, campaigns, theme years and more.

Despite the emergence of social media and internet, personal chats are still proving to be very valuable. The best evidence for this is the fact that the workshop will be organised for the 14th time and is fully booked each year!

Venue
The event will take place at a marvellous location: the Heineken Experience. This former Heineken brewery is located in the centre of Amsterdam and is an exciting venue for meetings and workshops. On below photo you see part of the room where the press event takes place.

Media hit list
Media invited include national and regional papers, travel trade publications, weekly and monthly magazines, bloggers and web editors, glossy magazines, consumer travel magazines, radio and TV programmes, freelance journalists, floggers, special interest magazines and MICE publications.

Successful concept
After 13 years, this media event has become very popular with the media and it has become a must-visit workshop in their busy work schedules. The explanation is simple: it is an ideal opportunity for them to meet a great deal of travel organisations in just one day in one location. It is impossible for them to visit each and every workshop that is being organised in Holland but they love this set-up as they can gather information on a multitude of companies and destinations.

Date
This year Travel Pressentation will take place on Thursday 6 November from 12.00 noon – 18.00 hours. Companies participating can prepare their table between 12.00 and 13.00 hours. The media are invited from 13.30 onwards.

Costs
The costs of participating in this media event is €795 (ex. 21% VAT) and includes one table with one or two representatives, lunch and drinks during the event plus Wi-Fi connection during the event plus Wi-Fi connection. From 17.00 hours there will be an informal networking drink.
