Meet the Dutch Travel Press
This year – for the 13th consecutive year – we will again be organising the ‘Meet the Dutch travel media’ press event Travel Pressentation. At this event participating travel organisations can promote their destinations, news, trends, new connections, tourist and hotel developments, facts and figures, themes, new attractions, campaigns, and more for the 2014 holiday season to Dutch media. Last year some 45 tourist organisations – amongst them national, regional and city tourist boards, airlines, car rental companies, hotel chains, cruise companies, tour operators and tourist attractions - participated in the press day and about 100 media came along.
Venue:
The media event will take place in a stunning location: the former Heineken Brewery in the city centre of Amsterdam, now turned into Heineken Experience, a tourist attraction and an exciting venue for meetings and workshops. The largest meeting room in the building are the Hop- and Moutzolder which we have rented for this event. Heineken Experience is located right in the centre of Amsterdam.
Successful concept:
After 12 years this media event has become very popular with travel media and it ranks high in their 'must visit' media events schedule. The reason is simple. It is an ideal opportunity for them to be informed in one afternoon about a wealth of new travel topics from many travel organisations: a great deal of companies in one room in one afternoon on one day – this concept works. Media are inundated with invitations for press workshops but they simply do not have the time to visit them all. They love the set-up because in one afternoon they can gather information on a multitude of companies and destinations. Media invited include national and regional press, bloggers and online editors, consumer travel magazines, weekly magazines and monthly glossies, travel websites, freelance journalists, radio and tv programmes and travel trade media.
